Description:
The UNESCO Regional Office in Havana is implementing the Centre for Innovation and Transformative Pedagogy funded by UNESCO's regular programme.The project is built on two components: the first focusses on strengthening teaching skills in pre-service training and the second on enhancing opportunitiesthrough knowledge transfer and exchanges UNESCO recognised the Centre as a Training Hub in Cuba and the Caribbean region for teacher training in key UNESCO areas such as Foundational Learning, Global Citizenship Education, Education for Sustainable Development, Green and Blue Literacy, General Historyof Africa, and Culture and Arts Education.In particular, UNESCO is supporting the habilitation of the Centre Eduardo Garcia Delgado which will host learning classrooms, and an intelligent classroom focused in Media and Information Literacy (MIL) to serve as resources for teaching andlearning.
